Zachary D. Kitchin

Zachary D. Kitchin is proud to be part of the small town communities in Montana. He is one of five brothers and holds family and faith as his highest importance. Raised in the Sun River Valley, Zach attended Simms High School before transferring and moving to the town of Dutton his sophomore year. Zach was the last President of Dutton High School, where he also competed in football, basketball, track, and baseball. Zach’s active high school career led him to the University of Montana where he earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology.

 

​Zach attended Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. While earning his Juris Doctorate of Law, he also earned a Master’s of Science in Alternative Dispute Resolution. His master’s degree focused in the areas of negotiation, mediation and arbitration. ​

 

During his time at Creighton, Zach represented his class in the Student Bar Association (SBA). Zach was a member of the National Semi-Finalist trial team that competed in Detroit in 2014 and 2015. In Zach's last year at Creighton, he advanced his knowledge of law by practicing for the Milton Abraham Legal Clinic. This allowed Zach to practice during his last year of legal education under some of Creighton Law’s most experienced attorneys. Zach graduated from Creighton as a Lyle E. Storm Scholar in Trial Advocacy, earning his advanced certificate in litigation theory and practice. Zach is licensed to practice in Montana State Courts, as well as, the Federal District Courts of Montana.

 

Throughout Zach’s first years of practice, he has represented clients in 21 of Montana’s counties. Zach has represented clients for wrongful dismissal, medical mal-practice claims, partner/family member assault, general misdemeanors, and felonies. Additionally, Zach represents an average of over 100 individuals faced with DUI's per year.
